On June 27th, 2021, during a speaking engagement at the Woman’s Club of Lincoln, Tom Indrieri, CEO of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, and attendees were suddenly evacuated due to what was initially suspected to be a gas leak. However, upon investigation, it was discovered that their antique stove had malfunctioned and needed urgent replacement.
Facing unexpected expenses and a desire to reopen their building for rentals—a significant source of fundraising—the Woman’s Club of Lincoln found themselves in a tight spot. Understanding the importance of their facility for community events and fundraising, they reached out to the Lincoln Community Foundation (LCF) for financial assistance.
As a steadfast supporter of Lincoln’s non-profit organizations, the LCF was eager to lend a helping hand. Recognizing the vital role the Woman’s Club plays in the community by renting out its facility for various events, the LCF swiftly responded to ensure that the club could replace its stove without any disruption to its fundraising activities.
In times of need, the Lincoln Community Foundation stands ready to support and uplift other non-profits in the Lincoln community, ensuring that essential services and community resources remain accessible to all.
