Today, I’m feeling particularly proud to be a member of the Lincoln Community Foundation, and I want to share some exciting news with you all. Recently, our foundation made a significant contribution of $1400 to the Every 15 Minutes program, and let me tell you, it’s a cause that’s near and dear to my heart.

For those of you who might not be familiar, Every 15 Minutes is an incredibly important initiative aimed at educating high school juniors and seniors about the dangers of impaired driving and the importance of making responsible decisions. And let me be clear: this isn’t just another lecture or slideshow. Every 15 Minutes is a powerful two-day program that brings these crucial lessons to life through simulated scenarios and real-world experiences.

As a member of the Lincoln Community Foundation, I believe strongly in the importance of keeping our kids safe and away from harmful influences like drugs and alcohol. That’s why supporting programs like Every 15 Minutes is so important to me. By confronting students with the harsh realities of drinking, driving, and personal safety, we’re giving them the tools they need to make smart choices and stay safe.

The recent awareness event held in Lincoln, California, was a powerful reminder of the impact that programs like Every 15 Minutes can have on our community. By bringing together a coalition of partners including the California Highway Patrol, local law enforcement agencies, hospitals, emergency medical responders, schools, businesses, and service clubs, we’re sending a clear message: safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we’ll do whatever it takes to protect our kids.

So here’s to the Every 15 Minutes program, and here’s to the Lincoln Community Foundation for stepping up and making a difference in the lives of our youth. Together, we can create a safer, healthier community for all.

Stay safe, Lincoln!
