Last night marked a significant milestone in the ongoing battle against drugs in Lincoln. The Lincoln Public Safety Foundation, of which I am a proud member serving as the communications secretary, made a groundbreaking announcement. We have purchased and donated a state-of-the-art TruNarc handheld narcotics analyzer to the Lincoln Police Department.

This TruNarc analyzer is no ordinary piece of equipment. Renowned for its portability and lab-standard accuracy, it enables our law enforcement officials to identify over 530 suspected drugs, including the potent and dangerous substance, fentanyl. This cutting-edge technology empowers our officers with the ability to swiftly and accurately detect narcotics, thereby enhancing public safety and safeguarding our communities.

As someone deeply committed to the well-being of our community and staunchly anti-drug, I cannot overstate how excited I am about this development. The TruNarc represents more than just a tool; it symbolizes our collective determination to combat the scourge of drugs that threatens our neighborhoods.

In my role as the communications secretary of the Lincoln Public Safety Foundation, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication and hard work of our members in supporting law enforcement initiatives. This donation is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing our police department with the resources they need to keep our streets safe.

I firmly believe that the acquisition of the TruNarc will have a transformative impact on our community. By arming our officers with cutting-edge technology, we are equipping them to tackle the challenges posed by drug trafficking and abuse head-on. This investment in public safety is an investment in the future of Lincoln.

The fight against drugs is not one that can be won overnight, but with initiatives like this and the support of dedicated individuals and organizations, we are making strides towards a safer and healthier community. I am proud to be a part of the Lincoln Public Safety Foundation and honored to play a role in this important endeavor.

Together, let us continue to stand united in our efforts to build a brighter and drug-free future for Lincoln.

That’s me on the far right.
