The Lincoln Community Foundation continues to showcase its unwavering dedication to enhancing the quality of life in Lincoln, California. On April 20, 2023, the foundation took yet another momentous step by presenting Public Safety Chief Alves with a generous check for $1500 to support the startup costs of the Lincoln Public Safety Foundation.
As a proud member of both the Lincoln Public Safety Foundation and the Lincoln Community Foundation, I am thrilled to be part of this significant milestone. This new organization, a freshly minted 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is on a mission to bolster and enhance the operations of the Police and Fire Departments in the City of Lincoln, California. Their aim is to provide essential funding for items that may not always be covered by the city’s budget, ensuring our first responders have the resources they need to keep our community safe.
The Lincoln Community Foundation has played a pivotal role in nurturing the formation of this nonprofit. Kris Knutson and Jan Bedwell from the foundation, along with Renee Maldonado, are serving as interim Board members until the permanent board is identified and elected.
